Tuesday Recap: Canadians edge Grads in lone game

A third-period Samuel Knoblauch goal proved to be the game-winner as the Carleton Place Canadians edged the visiting Navan Grads 2-1.

Josh Gagne’s also notched his first CCHL goal in the win for the first-place Canadians (16-2-1), while Mike Locatelli scored the lone goal in the loss for Navan (5-12-0).

Locatelli now has four goals in his last four games; goaltender Joseph Giacobbo pitched a 47-save effort in Tuesday’s loss.

Carleton Place outshot Navan 49-16, and 103-35 over the course of its two-game sweep of the Grads. The Canadians’ winning streak now stands at seven games.
