Week 24 – Power Rankings

  1. Carleton Place Canadians (48-4-4) (CJHL #1) | LW: 1 (–) | Results: 3-1W at BRO, 3-2W vs. BRO | The Canadians reached the 100 points margin this season. With a firm grasp on the Robinson division, they remain on top of not only the CCHL but also on top of the CJHL.

  2. Ottawa Jr. Senators (42-7-6) (CJHL #6) | LW: 2 (–) | Results: 6-2W vs. HAW, 9-0W vs. KEM | A dominant stretch of victories for the Ottawa Junior Sens exemplified with a 9-0 win over the Kemptville 73’s. They are currently at 90 points and have a secured spot on top of the Yzerman division.

  3. Brockville Braves (32-18-3) | LW: 5 (+2) | Results: 3-0W vs. SFB, 3-1 at HAW, 1-0W at CRW, 3-1L vs. CPC, 3-2L at CPC | Despite taking 2 losses to the Carleton Place Canadians, the Braves move up from 5th to 3rd in the Power Rankings thanks to 2 shutout victories and a big win over the Hawkesbury Hawks.

  4. Kanata Lasers (29-20-9) | LW: 4 (-) | Results: 4-2W at NEP, 2-0W vs. NAV, 5-3L vs. PEM | A solid pair of wins over the Nepean Raiders and the Navan Grads help to keep the Lasers secured in the number 4 spot this week. The Lasers have clinched for a playoff spot for the 1st time since 2011.

  5. Hawkesbury Hawks (33-19-2) | LW: 3 (-2) | Results: 4-3SOL at ROC, 3-1L vs. BRO, 6-2L at OJS, 6-3W vs. NAV, 6-1L at NEP | Not the week the Hawks were looking for taking big losses to the Braves, The Junior Sens, and the Nepean Raiders. The Hawks will look to try and rebound and continue to fight for the 3rd spot.

  6. Pembroke Lumber Kings (26-23-4) | LW: 7 (-) Results: 5-4W vs. NAV, 4-3OTL at NEP, 5-3W at KAN, 6-5SOL vs. SFB | Good week for the Lumber Kings as they are able to obtain at least a point in all of their games this past week. They will look to continue their point streak to try and continue to move up the rankings.

  7. Cornwall Colts (27-22-6) | LW: 6 (-) | Results: 1-0L vs. BRO, 2-1W at SFB | A lighter week for the Colts in terms of games this week only playing 2 games. Due to the point streak the Lumber Kings were able to produce, they drop down a spot this week to number 7.

  8. Rockland Nationals (25-25-4) | LW: 8 (-) | Results: 4-3W vs. HAW, 2-1L at KEM, 4-1W at NAV | A winning week for the Rockland Nationals as they were able to get wins over the Hawks and the Grads. Their productive week keeps them at number 8 in the Power Rankings.

  9. Smiths Falls Bears (22-28-6) | LW: 9 (-) | Results: 3-0L vs. BRO, 2-1SOL vs. CRW, 6-5W at PEM | The Bears were able to break out of their losing streak and get them a solid win over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. They keep their spot at number 9 in the Power Rankings.

  10. Nepean Raiders (19-30-6) | LW: 10 (-) | Results: 4-2L vs. KAN, 4-3W vs. PEM, 6-1W vs. HAW | A very good week for the Nepean Raiders as they were able to get wins over the Pembroke Lumber Kings and the Hawkesbury Hawks. If they continue to play spoiler down the stretch, they can be a team that can break out of the 10 spot.

  11. Kemptville 73’s (16-36-3) | LW: 11 (-) | Results: 9-0L at OJS, 2-1W vs. ROC | A 9-0 loss to start off the week is definitely not something the Kemptville 73’s would hope for. They were however able to bounce back and get a win over the Nationals and keep their spot at number 11.

  12. Navan Grads (9-43-0) | LW: 12 (-) | Results: 5-4L at PEM, 2-0L at KAN, 6-3L at HAW, 4-1L vs. ROC | At this point the Grads will be looking to try and muster up a win. They had a close game against Pembroke to get it, but otherwise not a good week for the Grads. They have not won a game since late November.
