GREG JANSZ
Greg Jansz, was the CCHL’s November Player of the Month. Greg Jansz led the league in scoring for the month accumulating 21 (9G, 12A) points in 10 games while earning three game stars. Greg is leading Gloucester in scoring and is currently enjoying a 14 game scoring streak. The Bedford, NS native accumulated 44 (16G, 28A) points in 32 games tied for 4th overall in league scoring. We are looking forward to Greg’s play at the CCHL Hockey Day Fundraiser to inspire youth mental health awareness, Saturday, February 8th at the Carleton Place Arena (75 Neelin Street) with the first puck drop at 10:30am. The “Hockey Day” ticket purchased for $20.00 will enable hockey fans to see six tremendous junior hockey games as well as the Binghamton Senators/Hamilton Bulldogs AHL game 7:30pm at the Canadian Tire Centre.
We hope Greg will follow other Ranger’s and be eligible for a University scholarship.

The management & coaches of the Gloucester Rangers Junior”A” hockey team work hard to ensure that the future of their players not only includes hockey, but they also stress the importance of education.
Michael McMurtry was a Minor Ranger who came up through the system to be a Tier One Junior A Ranger. He played for 5 seasons with the team and was the team captain in his 2011/12 season.
We are proud to say that 2011/12 Gloucester Rangers’ captain Michael McMurtry received a Division 1 scholarship and is attending Northeastern University; based in Boston, MA playing in his second season in the NCAA.
