OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Carleton Place Canadians 2003 born forward Matteo Disipio has been named the 2022-23 Sportsmanship & Ability Award recipient.
“Sips has the ability to play at an incredibly high pace with an elite stick yet able to remain disciplined which is a hard thing to do nowadays,” said Canadians Head Coach Brent Sullivan. “Every team wants a player that can play high minutes yet stay out of the box and Matteo does just that.”
In 53 games this season, the Nepean, ON native sits 2nd overall in the CCHL in Goals (38) and 3rd overall in Points (75) while only taking 4 minutes in penalties.
