Carleton Place 5, Pembroke 2
The Carleton Place Canadians defeated the Pembroke Royals 5-2 on Wednesday at the Carleton Place Arena. Rebertz opened the scoring for Pembroke in the first period, but O.Devlin tied the game on the power play before Doucet gave Carleton Place the lead. Shaughnessy extended the Canadians’ lead early in the second period with his first CCHL goal. Nystedt answered for Pembroke (with another first CCHL marker), but Hatzitheodosiou restored Carleton Place’s two-goal advantage before the end of the period. Hatzitheodosiou added his second goal of the game on the power play in the third period to complete the scoring. Carleton Place outshot Pembroke 40-31 and went 3-for-3 on the power play. The Royals were 0-for-4 with the man advantage. Larocque made 29 saves for the Canadians in his return to their lineup, while Ferguson stopped 35 shots for Pembroke.

Navan 4, Nepean 0
The Navan Grads earned a 4-0 shutout victory over the Nepean Raiders on Wednesday at the Nepean Sportsplex. D’Urso opened the scoring on the power play early in the first period to give Navan a 1-0 lead. Rutledge added to the Grads’ advantage in the second period, making it 2-0 after 40 minutes. Navan continued to control the game in the third, with Poulin and Young adding goals to complete the 4-0 victory. Nepean outshot Navan 36-33, but Wilson stopped all 36 shots he faced to earn the shutout. Brant made 29 saves for the Raiders. Navan went 1-for-6 on the power play, while Nepean finished 0-for-4.
