Pembroke 3, Smiths Falls 2 (OT)
Jarrad Vroman scored the winner at 1:46 of overtime as the visiting Pembroke Lumber Kings knocked off the Smiths Falls Bears.
Andrew Meininger and Matt Walilko staked the Lumber Kings (13-8-0) to a 2-0 first-period lead, but Ryan Gibson and Hayden Hart earned the Bears (6-13-3) a point.
Alex Horawski stopped 34 of 36 shots en route to his first CCHL win for Pembroke.
Smiths Falls has now lost 10 games in a row.
Nepean 5, Navan 4
Kari Belec’s big five-point day (1G, 4A) led the way as the Nepean Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-4 road win in Navan.
Kyle Alaverdy turned aside 31 of 35 shots in the win for Nepean (8-12-0), which outshot Navan (7-14-0) 39-34.
Antoine Belisle, Ryan Horvath and affiliate Raphael Lecours all had multi-point efforts for the Raiders in the win.
Mike Locatelli netted a pair in the defeat for the Grads.
Carleton Place 4, Rockland 0
The Carleton Place Canadians dominated from start to finish en route to a 4-0 road win over the Rockland Nationals Friday night.
Samuel Knoblauch scored twice in the victory for Carleton Place (22-2-1, CJHL No. 4), which massacred Rockland (11-11-2) on the shot clock, 38-12.
The win was the 13th in a row for the Canadians; the loss was Rockland’s sixth straight.
Brockville 6, Kemptville 3
A Phil Gilmour hat-trick paced the Brockville Braves to a 6-3 win on home ice against the visiting Kemptville 73’s.
Brockville (13-11-1) outshot Kemptville (5-17-1) by a significant 48-27 margin, and maintained possession of third place in the CCHL with the win.
73’s forward Eric Faith had a goal in his return to the Brockville Memorial Centre.
Hawkesbury 7, Ottawa 3
The Hawkesbury Hawks (13-6-0) put up a statement victory over the Ottawa Jr. Senators (17-4-3) on Friday afternoon, earning a 7-3 win at a neutral site in Vankleek Hill.
