CCHL Recap | Smiths Falls, Hawkesbury and Rockland take home the win.

Ottawa, ON – Across the Central Canada Hockey League on Friday night, six teams were playing in their regular season games.

 

F | Smiths Falls 7 Brockville 2

One goal in the first period by Matthew Dimaline making it 1-0 Smiths Falls. Second period light up by Alec Hamady, Matthew Herb, Thomas Cormier and Trevor Faucher all scoring making the lead 5-0, followed by Aidan Carolan from Brockville making the score 5-1 at the end of the second. Lucas Culhane from Brockville opens up the third period. Smiths Falls takes it back with a goal from Shaymus Stevenson and Thomas Cormier’s second goal of the night. Dawson Labre ends the game with 34-saves. First goalie from Brockville Zane Spaniol saves 18 shots and Kai Girard with 18-saves as well.

 

F | Nepean 4 Hawkesbury 5 (OT)

No score first period. Four back to back goals from Nepean players; Peter Freel, Owen Hardy, Joshua Reid and Brandon Reinisch making Nepean lead 4-0 most of the second. Hawkesbury player Alex Fournier responds with a goal making the end of second 4-1. Hawkesbury opens up the third with Alex Fournier getting his second goal of the night, Alexis Minville, Garrison Schultz making it a tie game. Remi Gelinas is the overtime goal scorer taking the Hawks winning 5-4. Brady McEwan ends the night with 27-saves and Dimitri Pelekos ends with 20-saves.

 

F | Pembroke 1 Rockland 7

Rockland opens up the first period with goals from Trystan-Felix Tremblay and Mathieu Paquin. Ryan Parent gets the goal for Pembroke. With one goal in the second period from Jacob Charron Rockland is up 3-1 against Pembroke. Four goals in the third period going to Rockland come from Mathieu Paquin, William Gosselin, Kyle Leonard and Samuel Dumont ending the game for a Rockland 7-1 take home. Goalie Aiden Pierce for Pembroke saved 37 shots with Rockland goalie Wills Seagrave saving 16.
