Week Six Power-Rankings

  1. Brockville Braves (12-1-0) – | Results: 4-3 W at KAN, 3-1 W vs. PEM, 5-1 W at PEM | The Braves stay at #1 in the PWRK for the third week in a row. They’ve won 11 straight games. Their only loss of the season came on September 2nd (4-1) against the Rockland Nationals. Right now they are the hottest team.

  1. Carleton Place Canadians (11-3-1) – | Results: 4-1 L vs. OJS, 4-3 OTW vs. HAW | The Canadians had their seven game winning streak snapped on Friday against OJS. They were down 3-0 to Hawkesbury until they scored three goals in the final six minutes to tie and eventually win in overtime.

  1. Hawkesbury Hawks (11-2-1) – | Results: 4-1 W at NEP, 1-0 SOW vs. ROC, 4-3 OTL at CP | First place in the Yzerman Division, the Hawks went 2-0-1 last week and have now recorded at least a point six straight games. With nowhere else to put them, the Hawks finish third in the PWRK for the third straight week.

  1. Ottawa Jr. Senators (8-6) +2 | Results: 4-1 W at CP, 5-2 W vs. KEM | The Jr. Senators have won three straight games, which is a season high and are starting to get hot. After an even matchup against CP, Ottawa beat Kemptville 5-2 on Saturday.

  1. Rockland Nationals (9-5-2) -1 | Results: 1-0 SOL at HAW, 6-5 OTW vs. SF | The Nationals have gone to extra-time in five of their last seven games. Hockey is getting really exciting in Rockland. Their 1-0-1 moves them down just a touch to make room for Ottawa. If they can beat OJS this week, they will move up past the Jr. Sens.

  1. Kemptville 73’s (6-6-2) +2 | Results: 5-2 W vs. KAN, 5-2 L at OJS | The 73’s snapped their little skid against the Lasers and have a promising performance against the Jr. Sens on Saturday. Their 1-1 week has them at number six.

  1. Cornwall Colts (6-8-2) +3 | Results: 4-3 L at CP, 5-3 W vs. SF, 5-4 OTW at KAN | After going 0-2-1 last week, the Colts bounce back with a 2-1 week. If they’re able to pick up some keep wins this weekm they’ll stay in this position.

  1. Kanata Lasers (7-8-2) -3 | Results: 4-3 L vs. BRO, 5-2 L at KEM, 5-4 OTL vs. CRW | Their 0-2-1 week brings them down three spots with teams like Cornwall, Kemptville and Ottawa moving up. This year they’ve mostly stayed around .500 but have the talent to move above an even record.

  1. Navan Grads (4-10-0) -2 | Results: 5-2 L at SF, 4-1 W at NEP | The Grads went 1-1 in week five and again, they go 1-1 in week six. Despite trading away some veterans, they are building a nice nucleus of young players. Don’t expect them to finish in the bottom of the standings, they have a very smart coach in Marty Abrams

  1. Smiths Falls (4-8-1) +1 | Results: 5-3 L at CRW, 5-2 W vs. NAV, 6-5 OTL at ROC | Smiths Falls had a tough week in week five but bounced back here with a 1-1-1 week six. Their young talent and depth on the backend suggests that that week seven might be their turn around.

  1. Pembroke Lumber Kings (5-8-0) –2 | 3-1 L at BRO, 5-1 L vs. BRO | Pembroke lost the home-and-home series with the Braves last week and are now on a seven game losing streak.

  1. Nepean Raiders (4-8-1) – | Results: 4-1 L vs. HAW, 4-1 L at NAV | An 0-2 week keeps the Raiders at the bottom of the CCHL’s PWRK for a second straight week.
