Week 14 Power Rankings

  1. Carleton Place Canadians (30-2-3) (CJHL #1) | LW: 1 (–) | Results: 4-3SOL @ BRO, 10-2W vs SF | The Carleton Place Canadians offence was on full display on Sunday, beating Smiths Falls 10-2. They have now recorded a point 23 straight contests and have not lost in regulation since September 29th.

 

  1. Ottawa Jr. Senators (26-4-3) (CJHL #5) | LW: 2 (–) | Results: 3-1W vs NEP, 1-0W at ROC | Ottawa continued their winning streak to 10 games this week. Expect them to move up in the Rankings next week after they are now #5 in the CJHL.

 

  1. Brockville Braves (20-13-1) | LW: 3 (-) | Results: 4-3SOW vs CP, 6-1W at KEM | Brockville stays at number three in the power-rankings this week based off their great performance against CP on Friday night.

 

  1. Hawkesbury Hawks (20-9-1) | LW: 4 (-) | Results: 6-4W vs PEM, 4-3W at PEM | Hawkesbury recorded some much needed character wins this week after Jankowski scored a hat-trick and a game winning goal in two games against Pembroke. They are now tied for third in the CCHL standings with Brockville. Expect their ranking to change next week.

 

  1. Kanata Lasers(14-13-3) | LW: 5 (-) | Results: 5-0W vs NEP, 5-1W at NAV, 2-1OTW at NEP | The Lasers jumped back over .500 with back-to-back wins last week. Well now they are 7-and-2 over their last nine games, with their only two loses coming to CP. They have now won five straight games.

 

  1. Cornwall Colts (13-13-5) | LW: 10 (+4) | Results: 4-3W vs NAV, 5-3W at CRW, 5-0W at NAV | The Colts move up four spots based of their 3-0 record this week have they moved from 8th in the league to 6th with 37 points.

 

  1. Pembroke Lumber Kings(16-14-1) | LW: 6 (-1) Results | 8-6L at KEM, 6-4L at HAW, 4-3L vs HAW | The Lumber Kings are just two games over .500 with some tough losses this week. They went 0-3 after losing Sunday’s affair against HAW 4-3 in the final minute. Don’t cut them short, they are still a threat in the CCHL.

 

  1. Rockland Nationals (16-17-2) | LW: 8 (-) | Results: 2-1W at SF, 1-0L vs OJS | Rockland is one game under .500 after going 1-and-1 this week. The Nat’s are 5-and-8 in the month of November but have won five of their last 9 games.

 

  1. Smiths Falls Bears(11-18-4) | LW: 9 (-) | Results: 2-1L vs ROC, 10-2L at SF | Thw Bears went 0-3 and have lost six straight games. Their 10-2 loss was the biggest loss this season but it still remains to be seen if they will drop lower than number nine.

 

  1. Navan Grads (9-24-0) | LW: 7 (-3) | Results: 4-3L at CRW, 5-1L vs KAN, 5-0L vs CRW | There is no question that Navan go a lot better with the two trades they made this week but the fact is that they lost all three games this week and are number 10 in our rankings. I would expect them to rise next week though. They are still dangerous.

 

  1. Nepean Raiders (10-18-3) | LW: 11 (-) | Results: 3-1L at OJS, 5-0L at KAN, 2-1OTL vs KAN | Nepean continued to stay in hockey games this week despite their 5-0 loss to Kanata. Nepean stays at number 11 based off their 0-3 record.

 

  1. Kemptville 73’s(7-27-1) | LW: 12 (-) | Results: 8-6W vs PEM, 5-3L vs CRW, 6-1L vs BRO | Kemptville played a good game against PEM (8-6W) on Wednesday but did not finish the week well with two tough losses over the weekend. They are now 2-and-12 in the month of November and still remain last in the CCHL Power-rankings.
