Tuesday Recap | Raiders complete comeback over Smiths Falls

CCHL Tuesday night Recap

Nepean 4, Smiths Falls 2

In the 2nd period both teams were able to capitalize on a goal for each side. Smiths Falls were able to score the opening goal just as the Power Play ended, Scott Gervais finished with an open net off a pass in front to beat Alaverdy. Mattawashish was able to capitalize on the Power Play off a pass in front by Gauthier. Browning was the secondary assists on the goal to tie things up at one going to the 3rd.

Nepean would take a penalty at the 11:40 mark of the 3rd. DiCarlo would snipe one over Alaverdy glove side to regain the one goal lead. Nepean wouldn’t give up from there after a pass from Buckley went off a body to the slot open for Alexander Bourhas to tie things up once again for Nepean.

Antoine Belisle would do it again with 1:58 left in the 3rd scoring a goal on a shot from Davis Browning that was tipped to have their first lead of the hockey game and Nepean never looked back. Bryson Michel added an Empty Net goal. Belisle is now on a 5 game point and goal streak (6G, 2A). Davis Browning collected 2 assists.

Nepean is back in action tomorrow night against the Ottawa Jr Senators. Smiths Falls will travel to Cornwall on Thursday.
