Nepean 5, Cornwall 1

Davis Browning led the way with three points (1G, 2A) as the visiting Nepean Raiders dominated the Cornwall Colts en route to a 5-1 win at the Ed Lumley Arena.

20-year-old goaltender Kyle Alaverdy stopped 22 of 23 shots in the win for Nepean (3-7-0), which outshot Cornwall (6-6-1) a whopping 50-23.

Cornwall call-up Josh Barnes (birthdate: 2002-09-27) became the youngest player to score in the CCHL this season with his goal at 19:51 of the first period.

Rockland 5, Kanata 0

The Rockland Nationals won their fourth-straight contest with a 5-0 blanking of the Kanata Lasers on the road at the KRC.

Cole Lavoie notched a pair of goals in the win for Rockland (8-3-2), which moved three points clear of fourth-place Pembroke with the win over Kanata (6-7-1).

CCHL Rookie of the Month in September Jordan Power added two assists for the Nationals; Aaron Brisebois scored for the visitors, and is firing at a point-per-game pace (2-5—7 in 7GP) since joining Dan Sauve’s team.

Ottawa 4, Navan 2

A two-goal effort from P.-L. Veillette led the Ottawa Jr. Senators to a 4-2 victory over the Navan Grads in Casselman on Thursday night.

Griffin McGregor and Alderic Denis also netted for the Jr. Senators (10-2-1), who moved into a tie for first place with Carleton Place thanks to the win against the slumping Grads (3-9-0).

Keenan Reynolds and Mike Locatelli scored in the losing cause for Navan; the former moved into a tie for the CCHL scoring lead with a second-period goal, his 11th on the season.
