The Lasers crushed the Junior Senators 5-2

The Kanata Lasers' offense had a big night, peppering the Ottawa Junior Senators with 35 shots throughout the game. The Kanata Lasers took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from William Brochu and never looked back.

Bennett Stockdale contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Ryan Bunka did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Pierre-Luc Veillette had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Darcy Walsh delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Schroeder opened the scoring for Kanata with a goal at 6:13. Veillette quickly followed with a goal at 7:06 with helpers from his linemates, Walsh and Boulerice. Mcintyre answered for the Lasers with a goal at 11:50 with helpers from teammates Bunka and Stockdale. Brochu quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:52 with assists from Boucher and Stockdale. Stockdale quickly followed with a goal at 14:45 with assists from Markhauser and White. Bunka quickly followed with a goal at 15:27 with helpers from Mcintyre and Poeze.

In the third period, Walsh answered for Ottawa with a goal at 14:51 with helpers from his linemates, Veillette and Smart.

Kanata’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Bateman’s big night as he stopped 0 of the 0 shots he faced. Bateman’s counterpart, Hicks, also had a big night, managing to stop 5 of 10, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Kanata Lasers’ record to (18-13-2-1).
