Sunday Recap | Three of the five games end in overtime

Ottawa, Ontario – Five games went down on Sunday around the CCHL. Week six finished high-scoring affairs and comebacks.

F/OT | Rockland 6, Smiths Falls 5

With nine seconds left,Bears forward Alex Way scored his second goal of the game to force overtime. Rockland’s Jack Sullivan scored his second overtime winner of the season half-way through OT.

Cole Craft had 1 G / 2 A in the win. Rockland has now recorded at least a point in six straight games.

Alex Way scored his first two goals with the Bears. Alex DiCarlo finished with 1 G / 2 A in the loss.

F | Brockville 5, Pembroke 1

Eric Faith scored his second hat-trick of the season. The Braves have now won 11 straight games and are the first team to 12 wins.

Halle, Mack and Brown each had 2 A. Bourdeau made 34 saves.

Brendan Browne scored his seventh of the year in the loss. The Lumber Kings have dropped seven straight contests. They outshot the Braves 35-31.

F | Navan 4, Nepean 1

The Grads out-shot the Raiders 37-29. Jesse Lycan had 1 G / 2 A and Jackson Arcan had two goals in the win. Navan has won two of their last four games and have recorded a point in three of their last four.

Josh Shimizu had Nepean’s only marker.

F/OT | Carleton Place 4, Hawkesbury 3

Hawkesbury was leading 3-0 until the final six-minutes when the Canadians scored three unanswered goals to tie before winning in overtime. Ryland Mosley scored his first overtime winner with the Canadians.

Fournier had 1 G / 1 A in the loss. Hawks were out-shot 31-27.

F/OT | Cornwall 5, Kanata 4

Kanata lost the lead twice in the third period. The Colts forced overtime when Josh Barnes scored his sixth of the year at the half-way mark of the third. Ethan Mulhearn netted the overtime winner and his second of the night.

The Colts have now won two straight games. the Lasers skid extends to four games. Alex Gagnon had two goals in the loss.
