Ottawa, Ontario – Sunday featured three games across the CCHL. Two in the afternoon and one in the evening.

F | Hawkesbury 4, Navan 0 

The Hawkesbury Hawks recorded their seventh win of the year after defeating the Navan Grads on Sunday afternoon in Cumberland.

In just his second CCHL start, Nick Stofcheck makes 24 saves for his first career shut-out. Patrick Callahan scored twice for the Hawks, giving him six goals on the campaign.

Former U18 standout and current Ottawa 67’s prospect Yanic Crete scored his first career CCHL goal, finishing the night with 1G/1A. The 16-year-old now has four points (1G / 3 A) in five games.

The Navan Grads were shut-out for the second time this year.

F/OT | Carleton Place 5, Kemptville 4

The Carleton Place Canadians scored three unanswered goals in the final five minutes of the third to force OT and steal two points away from the Kemptville 73’s.

David Gagnon extended his point to three games (2G/1A) after he scored the overtime winner. The Canadians have now won five straight games.

Brett Thorne recorded 1G/1A. He leads all defencemen in points with 10.

In the loss, the 73’s Jacob Thousand scored two goals. He is now T-1st in the CCHL with eight goals. Ryan Pawlikowski also scored twice for his second two-goal game of the year.

F | Kanata 3, Pembroke 1

Connor Sleeth scored two goals, giving him six goals on the year and Gunner Smith had two apples in a big win for Kanata. Lasers out-shot Lumber Kings 43-28.

Pembroke has now lost three straight games. 15-year-old Mason McTavish had an assist on their only goal, giving him his first point in his first career CCHL game.
