Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the Source for Sports Performers of the month for January.
Gabriel Le Houillier from the Rockland Nationals is Skater of the Month, while Brett Ruddy from the Smiths Falls Bears earned Goaltender of the Month, and Jack Johnson from the Navan Grads received Rookie of the Month.
Skater of the Month | Gabriel Le Houillier
The 2005 born Lorraine, QC, CAN native in his second season with the Rockland Nationals and has been the leagues best scores this season. Le Houillier ranks first overall goals and in points across all CCHL skaters with 47 goals and 92 points in 40 games played. In January, Le Houillier had 22 points in 8 games (13G, 9A) to earn skater of the month.
Goaltender of the Month | Brett Ruddy
The 2006 born New Liskeard, ON, CAN native is in his second season in the CCHL and first with the Smiths Falls Bears. Ruddy has emerged as one of the top goaltenders across the CCHL since joining the Bears earlier this season. In the month of January, Ruddy earned 4 victories while sporting a 1.20 goals against average and a 0.954 save percentage.
Rookie of the Month | Jack Johnson
The 2009 born Stouffville, ON, CAN native is in his first season with the Navan Grads and has been steady on the back-end all season long. Johnson currently second in points by a rookie defenceman with 19 points in 30 games played. In January, Johnson had 12 points in 10 games for the Grads (3G, 9A).
