Source for Sports Performers of the Month for February

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the Source for Sports Performers of the month for February.

Gabriel Le Houillier from the Rockland Nationals is Skater of the Month, while Ayo Ogini from the Renfrew Wolves earned Goaltender of the Month, and Carter Beauchesne from the Smiths Falls Bears received Rookie of the Month.

Skater of the Month | Gabriel Le Houillier

The 2005 born Lorraine, QC, CAN native in his second season with the Rockland Nationals and has continued to be the leagues best scorer through the month of February. Le Houillier ranks first overall goals and in points across all CCHL skaters with 56 goals and 116 points in 50 games played. In February, Le Houillier had 25 points in 11 games (10G, 15A) to earn skater of the month.

Goaltender of the Month | Ayo Ogini

The 2005 born Surrey, BC, CAN native is in his first season in the CCHL and first with the Renfrew Wolves since being acquired from the Smiths Falls Bears. Ogini has emerged as one of the top goaltenders across the CCHL and has help guide the Wolves toward a playoff position as the regular season winds down. In the month of February, Ogini earned 6 victories (including a shutout) while sporting a 2.41 goals against average and a 0.929 save percentage.

Rookie of the Month | Carter Beauchesne

The 2009 born Ottawa, ON, CAN native is in his first season with the Smiths Falls Bears and has been atop the rookie scoring lead all season long. Beauchesne is currently first in points for rookie skaters across the CCHL with 54 points in 46 games played. In February, Beauchesne had 13 points in 11 games for the Bears (8G, 5A).
