Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the Source for Sports Performers of the month for October.
Remi Gelinas of the Hawkesbury Hawks is the Skater of the Month. Cohen Lesperance-Spack of the Cornwall Colts earned Goaltender of the Month. Spencer Bowes of the Pembroke Lumber Kings received Rookie of the Month.
Skater of the Month | Remi Gelinas
The 2005 born hometown Hawkesbury, ON product has emerged as one of the most dangerous threats in the league. His combination of speed and skill are on display each night. In October, Gelinas had 6 goals and 10 assists in 7 games. He is also the league’s leading scorer.
Goaltender of the Month | Cohen Lesperance-Spack
The 2006 born Orleans, ON native has been a key contributor to the rise and resurgence for the Colts. In October, Lesperance-Spack was nearly unstoppable posting a 0.939 save % and 1.71 GAA. He helped the Colts get 5 of 8 points (all 1 goal games).
Rookie of the Month | Spencer Bowes
The 2007 born Carleton Place, ON native currently leads all rookies with 18 pts in 14 games. In October, Bowes had 2 goals and 7 assists in 7 games. The 17 year old is playing top line minutes and first power play minutes on an upstart Pembroke team.
