The lone game on Saturday was an inner-city affair featuring two teams that were looking for their first win of the season. The Jr. Senators playing their home opener at the Jim Durrell Centre hosting the Nepean Raiders.

Ethan Manderville got the Jr. Sens off on the right foot right at the 9:00 minute mark of the 1st with a goal assisted by Griffin McGregor and Conor Smart. The penalty box was a popular destination throughout the 1st with seven penalties between both teams. Nepean evened the score in the first half of the middle period as Jackson Clark buried his 2nd of the year. OJS countered with two goals in 25 seconds with under five minutes left from Kyle Jackson and Elie Boulerice. Ottawa secured a powerplay late in the 2nd and added to their lead courtesy of Samuel Hatto. The Raiders Geoff Dempster scored the only goal of the 3rd assisted by Ryan Horvath and OJS were able to open up at home with a win. Logan Bateman made 34 of 38 saves in the loss while Francis Boisvert turned aside 18 nepean shots for the win.
