In a hard-fought National Jr A Championship semifinal on May 17, 2025, at Calgary’s Max Bell Centre, the Rockland Nationals delivered a strong performance, pushing the hometown Calgary Canucks to overtime before narrowly falling 3–2. Rockland showcased their offensive skill with early goals from Gabriel Le Houillier, assisted by Anthony Hall and Nolan Turnbull, and maintained pressure throughout the game, outshooting Calgary 44–31. Despite the Canucks mounting a comeback with two goals from Gavin Schmidt and an overtime winner by Hayden Fechner, the Nationals’ effort, discipline, and depth were on full display. Goaltender Lukas Renaud’s 42-save performance was crucial for Calgary, while Rockland’s penalty kill remained perfect, holding the Canucks scoreless on two power plays. The Nationals leave the tournament with heads high, having delivered a resilient and determined semifinal showing.
