Release | Carleton Place Canadians alumni Devon Levi named to Team Canada for World Junior Championships

 

OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are thrilled to announce that goaltender Devon Levi has been officially named to the Team Canada roster for the upcoming World Junior Championships which runs from Dec 25 – Jan 5 in Edmonton, AB.

The 2001 born Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC native spent the 2019-20 season with Carleton Place, in which he posted a 34-2-1 record, with a .941 SV%, 1.47 GAA, and 8 shutouts. For his efforts, he took home various league accolades such as MVP, Top Goaltender, and Top Prospect, and also earned accolades at the national level such as CJHL Player of the Year, Top Goaltender, and Top Prospect. 

Levi also represented Team Canada East at the 2019 World Junior A Challenge in Dawson Creek, BC, helping his team to a Silver Medal finish while being named Tournament MVP. 

The NCAA Northeastern University commit was selected in the 7th round, 212th overall by the Florida Panthers at the 2020 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
