Smiths Falls 5, Pembroke 2
Smiths Falls secured a 5-2 victory over Pembroke with a strong start and consistent offense. Heins opened the scoring at 6:13 of the first period and added a power-play goal at 18:35 to give Smiths Falls a 2-0 lead. In the second period, Parker extended the lead to 3-0 at 4:47. The third period saw Smiths Falls widen the gap further as Ouellette scored just 57 seconds in. Pembroke responded with a goal from Barnard at 4:18, but Ouellette struck again on the power play at 8:54 to restore the four-goal lead. Barnard added his second of the game for Pembroke at 12:27, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback. Smiths Falls outshot Pembroke 38-20 and went 2-for-4 on the power play, while Pembroke was 0-for-2.
