Smiths Falls 5, Rockland 1
Smiths Falls rode a hat trick from Heron and a strong performance in net by Morrow to a 5-1 win over Rockland. Heron struck twice in the first period to give Smiths Falls an early 2-0 lead, and although Rockland responded in the second with a goal from Marshall, it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. Tessier extended the lead on the power play in the third, and Smiths Falls sealed the game with late empty-netters from Parker and Heron. Morrow stopped 33 of 34 shots, while Forget made 27 saves for Rockland in the loss.
