Smiths Falls 3, Pembroke 2
Smiths Falls staged a comeback to defeat Pembroke 3-2, overcoming an early deficit after Alegria opened the scoring for Pembroke in the first period. James tied it on a power play in the second, but Alegria struck again early in the third to briefly restore Pembroke’s lead. Ouellette responded quickly to even the score, and Rabe netted the game-winner late in regulation. Goaltender Morrow stopped 32 of 34 shots for Smiths Falls, while Ferguson made 34 saves on 37 shots for Pembroke. Both teams went 1-for-2 on the power play in a closely contested matchup.
Kemptville 3, Nepean 1
Kemptville used a strong second period to defeat Nepean 3-1, with goals from Sweetapple, Trottier, and Fehr securing the win. After a scoreless first, Kemptville struck twice early in the second before Freel responded on the power play for Nepean. Fehr restored Kemptville’s two-goal lead late in the period, and neither team found the net in the third. Bennett made 31 saves for Kemptville, while Brant stopped 28 shots for Nepean. Special teams played a role, with Nepean converting once on six power plays while Kemptville went 0-for-3.
