Renfrew defeated Hawkesbury 2-1 in a tight match that stretched into overtime and a shootout. The game saw a first-period goal from Renfrew’s Protopapas at 9:10, with Hawkesbury responding in the second period when Perron scored at 13:56, assisted by Downey and Porco. Despite multiple penalties on both sides, no further goals were scored in the third period or overtime. In the shootout, Renfrew’s Glover converted the only attempt, securing the win after both teams had missed their initial chances. Hawkesbury outshot Renfrew 38-23, but Renfrew’s goaltender, Kurtiak, stood tall with 37 saves on 38 shots, while Breitzke of Hawkesbury made 21 saves on 22 shots.
