Ottawa, ON – Though a light night on the CCHL schedule, Saturdays game did not disappoint in the entertainment value department as Ottawa and Cornwall came away with victories.
Ottawa 5 Kemptville 4 (OT)
Fans of this one would have thought this was over after 2 periods with Kemptville up 4-0. But as the old saying goes; “This is why we play the game” as Ottawa stormed back with 5 unanswered including the winner in overtime from Tomislav Brennan for the come from behind win. Matsukubo with 2 (4 pts total on the day), St. Michel, and Guillemette with the others for Ottawa. Carter Graves with 2 goals for Kemptville in the loss.
Cornwall 7 Renfrew 4
The Cornwall Colts continued their strong play to start the season with another offensive outburst. On the heels of 4 first period goals (Fraser, Miron with 2 and Warner) while goaltender Cohen Lesperance-Spack made 32 saves in the win. For the Wolves, they were lead by Joshua Penney (2g) who has been a catalyst for them so far this season.
