Kemptville came out ahead in their 4-3 win over Ottawa Wednesday night.

Kemptville edged out Ottawa in a closely contested 4-3 game, marked by strong performances from both sides. Ottawa opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal from St. Michel, but Kemptville responded with two goals—Bennett on a power play and Graves—to take the lead. Ottawa tied it late in the second period with Matsukubo’s goal, but Kemptville regained control in the third, with Bennett and Graves each scoring their second of the game. Despite a late goal from Ottawa’s Pelchat, Kemptville held on for the win. Both teams generated chances, with Kemptville outshooting Ottawa 34-30 and excelling on special teams, converting one power play and killing off all four of Ottawa’s opportunities. Goaltender Bennett made 27 saves for Kemptville, while Ottawa’s Scully stopped 30 shots in the loss.
