Ottawa, ON — It was a high energy, high scoring affair in Cornwall Thursday evening as the Colts edged the Raiders 7-6 in overtime.

Cornwall edged Nepean 7-6 in an intense, high-scoring game that stretched into overtime. Cornwall took control early, with Bowen scoring twice in the first period and adding two more in the second, giving him four goals in the game. Nepean fought back in the second, with Freel, Etchart, and Houben all scoring, while Cornwall’s Lamb netted a key goal to keep Nepean within striking distance. Nepean continued to push in the third, with Smith and Pollock scoring power-play goals, and Houben added another late goal to tie the game. In overtime, Miron secured the win for Cornwall just 25 seconds in, completing a wild game that featured heavy penalties and a strong power-play performance from both teams. Cornwall’s Chabot made 18 saves on 24 shots, while Nepean’s Gedraitis stopped 28 of 35 shots.
