The Cornwall Colts defeated the Renfrew Wolves 6-3 with a balanced offensive attack and strong special teams play. Cornwall opened the scoring with Bowen and Kluksdahl’s goals in the first period, while Gilmour added a power-play goal just before the break to make it 3-1 after Renfrew’s Protopapas responded. In the second period, Bowen struck again, putting Cornwall up 4-1. Renfrew mounted a comeback in the third, with Verspeeten scoring on the power play, followed by Glover’s late goal, but power play goals by Beliveau and Bowen sealed the win. Cornwall converted twice on nine power play opportunities, while Renfrew went 2-for-6. Cornwall outshot Renfrew 29-22, with Lesperance-Spack making 19 saves for the win, while Renfrew’s Suys stopped 23 of 29 shots.
