Carleton Place 5, Navan 4
Carleton Place edged out Navan 5–4 in a fast-paced matchup that saw early scoring and momentum shifts. Carleton Place jumped to a quick 2–0 lead less than two minutes into the game with goals from Kay and Small, and despite an early Navan response by Johnson, they extended their lead to 3–1 by the end of the first period. Prud’homme added two goals in the second, including one on the power play, to put Carleton Place ahead 5–1 before Johnson notched his second for Navan to close the gap. In the third, Navan mounted a comeback with two goals from Holmes, but fell just short. Carleton Place went 1-for-2 on the power play, while Navan capitalized twice on five chances. Goalie Vandenberg made 29 saves for the win, while Gagne stopped 30 shots for Navan.
Smiths Falls 4, Rockland 3 (OT)
Smiths Falls secured a 4–3 overtime victory over Rockland in a tightly contested game marked by momentum swings and physical play. Parker opened the scoring early for Smiths Falls in the first period, but Rockland responded with two goals in the second from O’Connor and Hall to briefly take the lead. Smiths Falls answered with goals from Paquette and Booth, the latter on the power play, to regain the advantage heading into the third. Hall tied it for Rockland late in regulation with his second of the night, forcing overtime. In the extra frame, Heron played hero with the game-winner at 11:04. Despite being outshot 43–25, Smiths Falls made the most of their chances, while goaltender Morrow stood tall with 40 saves.
