Ottawa, ON — After a slow start the 73’s dominated the second period to earn a 7-3 win over Hawkesbury Wednesday night.

Kemptville 7, Hawkesbury 3
Kemptville defeated Hawkesbury 7-3 in a fast-paced game, with Kemptville’s offensive outburst led by multiple goal scorers. Hawkesbury jumped to an early lead with a goal from Bandu and two from Perron, but Kemptville responded with a power-play goal by Stubbings and another from Venance. In the second, Kemptville’s Fehr scored twice, and Stubbings added another, while Mbarushimana netted a late goal to give Kemptville a comfortable lead. The third period saw Bennett extend the lead with a power-play goal, as Kemptville capitalized on a series of penalties against Hawkesbury. Despite a strong showing from Hawkesbury’s Ruddy in net, Kemptville’s Donovan made 30 saves to secure the win. The game featured aggressive play, with both teams racking up penalties, but Kemptville’s power play and scoring depth proved too much for Hawkesbury.
