Hawkesbury 3, Rockland 1

Hawkesbury defeated Rockland 3-1 in a tightly contested game, with goals from Besner, Trudeau, and Perron, who sealed the win with an empty-netter late in the third period. Rockland’s lone goal came from Le Houillier in the second period, briefly tying the game before Trudeau restored Hawkesbury’s lead just 22 seconds later. Shots were nearly even, with Hawkesbury edging Rockland 29-28. Goalies Ruddy and Forget both performed solidly, stopping 27 and 26 shots, respectively.

Brockville 4, Kemptville 3 (OT)

In a tightly contested game, Kemptville fell to Brockville 4-3 in overtime. Kemptville opened the scoring in the first period with a goal from Stubbings, but Brockville responded shortly after. The second period saw Brockville pull ahead with two power-play goals, although Kemptville’s Gilmour scored midway through to bring it to 3-2. In the final minute of the third period, Gilmour scored again to tie the game and send it into overtime. Brockville ultimately secured the victory when McNally scored at 3:40 in the extra period. Brockville outshot Kemptville 39-32, with goalie Caracciolo making 29 saves, while Kemptville’s Bennett recorded 35 saves on 39 shots.

 

Smiths Falls 2, Navan 1 (OT)

Smiths Falls edged Navan 2-1 in overtime in a tightly contested game. Paquette scored late in the first period for Smiths Falls, and Navan responded with a power-play goal from Johnson just before the second period ended. Both teams maintained strong defenses through a scoreless third period, pushing the game to overtime. Smiths Falls clinched the win early in OT, with Parker scoring just over a minute in, assisted by Booth and Ashcroft. Smiths Falls outshot Navan 35-25, with goalie Morrow making 24 saves for the win, while Navan’s Gagne stopped 33 of 35 shots in a solid performance.

Carleton Place 3, Nepean 2 (SO)

Carleton Place defeated Nepean 3-2 in a shootout after a hard-fought game. Nepean took the lead in the first period with a power-play goal from Campbell, assisted by Smith and Turcotte. Carleton Place responded in the second period with a power-play goal from Bouwer to tie the game. Nepean regained the lead later in the second, with Papineau scoring off assists from Benoit and Campbell. In the final minutes of the third period, Carleton Place tied it again with Froysland’s goal, forcing the game into overtime. After a scoreless overtime period, Carleton Place won in the shootout with Conrad scoring the only goal. Nepean outshot Carleton Place 35-32.
