Pembroke downs Kanata, 5-1

 

Adam Dauda had two points to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings to a 5-1 victory over the Kanata Stallions.

 

Pembroke's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Kanata power plays. The Lumber Kings' offense rang up 43 shots on Kanata's net.

Pembroke also got points from Ryan Casselman, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Anthony Nellis, who also had one goal and one assist, and Brett Horn, who also registered one goal and one assist. Felix Chamberland also scored for Pembroke. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Alexandre Boivin, who had two and Dylan Chase, Jason Tackett, and Stephan Beauvais, who contributed one each.

The Stallions were led by Connor Cobbold, who scored the team's only goal. Cobbold scored 3:21 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Pembroke. Carter Malette provided the assist.

Sean Green made 14 saves for Pembroke on 15 shots. The Lumber Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Brian Wilson rejected 38 shots on goal for Kanata. The Stallions incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
