Pembroke beats Cornwall 4-3 after comeback scare

 

The Cornwall Colts tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Pembroke Lumber Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Felix Chamberland put Pembroke up 4-2 in the third period, but Cornwall pulled to within one on Grant Cooper's tally 18:26 into the third period.

 

The Lumber Kings were led by Chamberland, who tallied one goal. Chamberland scored 14:08 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Pembroke. Jesse Blais assisted on the tally.

Pembroke also got points from Blais, who also had one goal and one assist and Alexandre Boivin, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Dylan Chase also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Brendan Valko, Anthony Nellis, Stephan Beauvais, and Justin Felhaber, who each chipped in one.

The Colts' offense rang up 33 shots on Pembroke's net.

Cornwall also got a goal from Peter Angelopoulos as well. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Zac Tierney, who had two and Cal Hofford, Ross Craig, Tanner Spink, and Tristen Elie, who contributed one each.

Joel Horodziejczyk made 30 saves for the Lumber Kings on 33 shots. Pembroke incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Denny Dubblestyne recorded 26 saves for Cornwall. The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
