NCAA Commitment | Lasers Gabriel Carriere commits to University of Vermont

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Kanata Lasers are pleased to announce that goaltender Gabriel Carriere has signed his National Letter of Intent to attend NCAA University of Vermont for the 2020-21 school year.

The 2000 born Orleans, ON native sports a 16-16-2 record, with a 3.24 GAA, a .917 SV%, and 2 Shutouts this season. In 72 career regular season and playoff games, Carriere is 37-24-7.

“Gabe has been nothing but great for us here in Kanata since trading for him last season,” said Lasers General Manager Ian Henderson. “I remember when I drafted him years ago in the 8th round, he was just this small and quiet kid. He has come a long way since then and there is still more growth in his game to come. He is an excellent student and I am sure he will have great success in the NCAA both on and off the ice. We are very proud of his progress here in Kanata.”
