Morning Recap | Three games close out CCHL regular season

 

Ottawa, ON – Three games across the CCHL region on Sunday as the Kanata Lasers, Pembroke Lumber Kings, and Navan Grads picked up wins. The Lasers victory earned them the 8th and final playoff spot.

 

F | KANATA 3 OTTAWA 2

Liam Markhauser scored twice, Paul Larabie added a single, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 27-saves as Kanata improved to 26-28-2-6 to earn the 8th and final CCHL playoff spot as they will face top seed Carleton Place. Ottawa saw their record fall to 34-25-3-0 to finish as the 6th seed and will take on 3rd seed Brockville.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 ROCKLAND 3

Brandon Cianflone (2), Cameron Hough, and Anthony Urbisci tallied goals, while Nick Beck made 32-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to 32-27-2-0. Rockland, who saw their record drop to 39-19-1-3, had goals from Simon Labelle, Jack Sullivan, and Jack Miles, while Cole Hudson made 27-saves in the loss. These two teams will meet in the first round of the Bogart Cup playoffs.

 

F | NAVAN 4 CORNWALL 2

Seva Losev netted a hat-trick, Jean-Sylvain Boyer added a single, while Alex Aslanidis made 29-saves as Navan finished the year just 1-point out of the postseason with a 29-32-1-0 record. Cornwall finished with a record of 21-35-1-5.
