Morning Recap | Raiders, Grads, Canadians, and Lumber Kings victorious Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Four games across the CCHL region Sunday saw victories from the Nepean Raiders, Carleton Place Canadians, Navan Grads, and Pembroke Lumber Kings.

 

NEPEAN 4 ROCKLAND 3 OT

Coleman Bennett netted a hat-trick, including the overtime winner, Owen Hollingsworth also scored, while Connor Shibley made 22-saves as Nepean improved to 6-11-1-0 on the year. Rockland, who dropped to 4-11-2-1, received goals from Justin Dauphinais, Hugo Marcil, and Giovanni Morneau, while Jack McGovern made 25-saves in the loss.

 

CARLETON PLACE 3 BROCKVILLE 0

Bill Gourgon, Marco Iozzo, and Derek Hamilton scored goals, while Joe Chambers had a 20-save shutout as Carleton Place improved their season record to 8-9-0-1. Brockville, who saw their record fall to 10-6-0-2, had a 31-save effort from Brandon Abbott in the loss.

 

NAVAN 4 CORNWALL 3 SO

Ryan Burke, Devyn Orpana, and Alexandre Hogue all found the net, Blake Butler scored the shootout winner, while Ben West made 20-saves as Navan stormed back from down 3-0 to grab the win and improve to 10-6-0-1 on the year. Cornwall, who fell to 3-11-3-3, had goals from Will German, Alex Fournier, and Keanu Krenn, while Alex Houston finished with 33-saves in the loss.

 

PEMBROKE 2 KEMPTVILLE 1 OT

Brady Egan scored in regulation, Raphael Seguin netted the overtime winner, while Reece Proulx made 31-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to a Robinson Division leading 13-3-1-1. Kemptville, who fell to 12-5-1-1, had their lone goal off the stick of Patrick Larkin, while Tyler Laureault made 25-saves on the losing end of things.
