Ottawa, ON – Two match-ups across the CCHL on Saturday night saw the Pembroke Lumber Kings defeat Hawkesbury 4-1 and the Rockland Nationals win a hard-fought 4-3 decision over Ottawa.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 HAWKESBURY 1

Fletcher Anderson scored twice, Josh Reid and Anthony Urbisci had singles, while Reece Proulx made 40-saves as Pembroke improved to 2-0-0 on the young season. For the Hawks, Azzaro Tinling had the lone goal, while Robbie Nuchereno made 22-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | ROCKLAND 4 OTTAWA 3

Gunnar Smith had his second straight two-goal performance, Vincent Labelle scored his 2nd of the season, and Cameron Last also scored, while Cole Hudson made 29-saves for his first career CCHL victory as the Nationals improved to 2-0-0 on the year. On the Jr Senators end, Maxime Blanchard and Mark McPhee tallied their first career CCHL goals, Mackenzie White also scored, while Joshua Ward finished with 25-saves.
