Morning Recap | Opening Weekend | Four Games

 

Ottawa, ON – Four games across the CCHL circuit Sunday afternoon saw victories from Kanata, Navan, Carleton Place, and Brockville.

 

F | KANATA 2 NEPEAN 0

Will Larsen and Mahigan Decontie tallied the goals, while Vincent Bujold-Roux made 33-saves for the shutout victory as Kanata got their first victory of the young season. Andrew Rose finished with 27-saves in the Raiders net. 

 

F | NAVAN 4 CORNWALL 3

Ryan O’Toole, Blake Butler, Jackson Arcan, and Tristan Francis found the net, while Alex Wisco made 28-saves as the Grads picked up their first win of the season. Martin Templeton, Kyle Lightfoot, and River Gull replied for the Colts, while Rico Dimatteo finished with 33-saves.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 SMITHS FALLS 2

Jake Code (2G, 3A), Steven Townley (2G, 2A), and Kerfalla Toure (1G, 2A) led the charge offensively, while Devon Levi made 17-saves as Carleton Place improved to 2-0-0 on the year. Andrew McKenney and Bruce Coltart scored for the Bears, while Jake Smith made 25-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 4 KEMPTVILLE 2

Cody Bruchkowski scored twice, Will Torriani and Justin McRae also found the back of the net, while Jake Begley made 26-saves as the Braves grabbed their first win of the season. Hunter Brazier and Ryan Pawlikowski responded for the 73’s, while William Anderson made 26-saves.
