Morning Recap | Opening Showcase | Day 3

 

Ottawa, ON – The third and final day of the CCHL Opening Showcase came to a close Sunday as Kanata, Pembroke, Carleton Place, Ottawa, Navan, and Rockland all picked up victories.

 

F | KANATA 4 CORNWALL 2

Luca Nocita and Trevor Poeze each had 4 point (1G, 3A) games, Ryan Park had 2 goals, while Vincent Bujold-Roux made 29-saves as Kanata swept the showcase and improved to 4-1-0 on the year. Cornwall, who fell to 1-4-0, had goals from Sam Gaudreau and Christophe Cote, while Rico Dimatteo made 35-saves in the loss.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 HAWKESBURY 2

Fletcher Anderson (1G, 1A), Jack Stockfish (1G, 1A),  Dante Moretti (1G, 1A), and Cameron Hough (1G), did the scoring, while Reese Proulx made 32-saves as Pembroke swept the showcase to improve to a perfect 5-0-0 this season. Azzaro Tinling and Zachary Lefebvre replied for the Hawks, while goaltender Mathieu Chenier made 31-saves as Hawkesbury fell to 1-4-0.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 NEPEAN 0

Jake Code, Luke Evo, Cameron Patton, Oliver Carriere, and David Gagnon tallied goals, while Addison Lawrence had a 17-save shutout as Carleton Place improved their season record to 5-1-0. The Raiders fell to 1-4-0, getting 36-saves from Tyler Laureault in the losing effort.

 

F | OTTAWA 5 SMITHS FALLS 2

Ethan Mulhearn (1G, 2A), Ranvir Gill-Shane (1G, 1A), Thomas Freel (1G, 1A), Christopher Piche, and David Berube all found the net, while Joshua Ward made 27-saves as Ottawa improved to 3-2-0 on the season. The Bears, who dropped to 0-4-1 on the year, had goals from Tate Leeson and Ryan Richardson, while Jake Smith made 27-saves. 

F | NAVAN 3 KEMPTVILLE 0

Mason Goldie scored twice, Curtis Fabbro added a single, while Alex Wisco made 33-saves for the shutout as Navan improved to 4-2-0 on the year. Kemptville, who fell to 1-3-0 had a strong performance from goaltender Riley McCabe who made 31-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 BROCKVILLE 2 OT

Cameron Scrivens scored twice, Justin Dauphinais also scored, while Cole Hudson made 32-saves as Rockland improved to 4-1-0 this season. Brockville dropped to 2-1-2, getting goals from Simon Kerr and Will Torriani, while Jake Begley made 35-saves.
