Morning Recap | Nationals and Colts winners Saturday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Just two games in the CCHL Saturday which saw the Rockland Nationals and Cornwall Colts claim victories in their final games of the season.

 

ROCKLAND 6 OTTAWA 1

William Collins scored a hat-trick, Kyle Leonard, Yanic Crete, and Alexandre Frechette also found the back of the net, while Jack McGovern made 21-saves as Rockland finished their season with a record of 24-24-4-3 to jump into the 8th and final playoff spot. Ottawa, who fell to 43-7-2-2, had their lone goal from Simon Isabelle, while Collin Mackenzie made 21-saves in the loss.

 

CORNWALL 4 NEPEAN 2

Jacob Knickle, Brayden Bowen, Kale MacCormick, and Keanu Krenn scored goals, while Emile Savoie made 40-saves as Cornwall finished their season at 14-33-3-5. Nepean, who finished their season at 12-41-2-0, had goals from Nolan Mozer and Zachary Lefebvre, while Nathan Loisel made 25-saves in the losing effort.
