Ottawa, ON – In the lone CCHL match-up of the evening, and opening game of the 2019-20 CCHL season, the Pembroke Lumber Kings picked up a big two road points as they defeated the Kanata Lasers.

Jacob Shankar and Ethan Emanuel tallied the goals, and Reece Proulx made 27-saves as the Lumber Kings topped the Lasers by a 2-1 score. Paul Larabie was the lone goal scorer for the Lasers while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 22-saves in the losing effort.
