Morning Recap | Hawks, Jr Senators, and Canadians win, Bears and Lumber Kings postponed

 

Ottawa, ON – Although 4 games were scheduled on Sunday, only 3 would be completed successfully. The Hawkesbury Hawks, Ottawa Jr Senators, and Carleton Place Canadians picked up wins, while the Pembroke home opener Vs Smiths Falls had to be postponed due to unsafe ice conditions brought on by fog. 

 

F | HAWKESBURY 5 NEPEAN 4

Luke Grainger had 4 points (2G, 2A), Zachary Lefebvre found the net twice, and Drew Rose also tallied a goal, while Mathieu Chenier made 37-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 4-4-0-0 on the year. Nepean, who dropped their record to 1-6-0-1, had goals from Matthew Shanklin, Louis Chabot, Evan Boucher, and Garrett McArthur, while Tyler Laureault finished with 22-saves in the loss.

Ethan Mulhearn, Faisal Alsaif, Conor Smart, and Matthew Toporowski all found the back of the net, while Felix Schnell made 13-saves as Ottawa improved to 5-2-0-0 on the season. Seva Losev, Alex Robert, and Jackson Arcan replied for the Grads, while Alex Wisco made 28-saves as Navan fell to 4-3-0-0.

Ryland Mosley had 4 points (2G, 2A), Brett Thorne and Elliot McDermott added singles, while Devon Levi had a 25-save shutout as Carleton Place improved to 7-1-0-0 this season. Rockland fell to 5-2-0-0.
