Morning Recap | Friday saw eight CCHL teams in action across the region

 

OTTAWA, ON – Friday was a busy day of hockey for CCHL member teams as eight teams were in action across the region. Coming out victorious were the Hawkesbury Hawks, Brockville Braves, Smiths Falls Bears, and Rockland Nationals.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 5 CORNWALL 4 OT

The Hawks received regulation goals from Holden Doggett, Jakson Kirk, Jeremy Quesnel, and Emile Pichette, while Zachary Hatch tallied the OT winner to lift the Hawks to victory. In nets, Connor MacKenzie finished with 25 saves. Cornwall saw goals from William Bishop, Kobe Tallman, Benjamin Dirven, and Jake Rozzi, while Dax Easter made 37 saves in the losing effort.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 7 KEMPTVILLE 2

Brockville had multi-point games from Luke Tchor (2G, 2A), Parker Casey (1G, 1A), Nicholas Dowling (1G, 1A), and Troy Andrews (1G, 1A). Owen Belisle and Colin Elliot added a goal each, while Will McEvoy (16/18) and Brandon Abbott (16/16) split the start between the pipes for the victory. Kemptville had goals from Ryan Pawlikowski and Patrick Larkin.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 5 RENFREW 4 OT

It was a shootout in Smiths Falls seeing both teams combine for nine goals. For the Bears, Brody Fournier scored twice, Will Rivet and Andre Simard also found the net in regulation, while Sean James was the overtime hero. Between the pipes, Patrick Leaver finished with 17 saves to pick up the victory. Renfrew had goals from rookie Ben Bujold, Charlie Johnson, Matthew Monopoli, and captain Paul Larabie. 

 

F | ROCKLAND 5 NAVAN 2

The Nationals got goals from Joshua Reid, William Collins, Cedrick Guindon, Isaac Landry, and William Pilon, while Jack McGovern finished with 28 saves to earn the victory. Scoring for the Grads were Blake Hall and Nicholas Paone, while Mathieu Chenier stopped 35 of 38 shots in the losing effort.
