Morning Recap | Four games close out exciting week in CCHL

 

Ottawa, ON – There were four games on the CCHL schedule Sunday as the Rockland Nationals, Hawkesbury Hawks, Navan Grads, and Brockville Braves picked up victories to close out the week.

 

F | ROCKLAND 9 KEMPTVILLE 3

Matthew Vermaeten scored a hat-trick, Cole Craft (2), Jack Miles, Vincent Labelle, Cameron Scrivens, and Gunnar Smith also found the scoresheet, while Jack McGovern made 21-saves as Rockland improved to 36-17-0-2 on the year. Kemptville saw their record fall to 20-29-4-0.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 4 CARLETON PLACE 3 OT

Dovar Tinling, Ethan Grant, and Luke Grainger scored in regulation, Mark Cooper was the overtime hero, while Zach Johnson made 32-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 32-19-2-0 on the year. Carleton Place, who fell to 43-7-4-2, received goals from Caleb Kean, Ben Brunette, and Brett Thorne, while Devon Levi made 25-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NAVAN 4 SMITHS FALLS 3 OT

Seva Losev, Devyn Orpana, and Jackson Arcan scored in regulation, Joel Pavey netted the overtime winner, while Alex Wisco made 45-saves as Navan improved their season record to 24-29-1-0. Smiths Falls, who fell to 28-19-3-2, had goals from Ethan Nystrom, Reid Russett, and Nicolas Lariviere, while Jake Smith made 37-saves in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 3 PEMBROKE 1

Ryan Gillespie, Simon Kerr, and Austin Paul scored goals, while Antoine Bourdeau made 35-saves as Brockville improved to 35-11-3-4 on the season. Pembroke saw their record drop to 28-23-2-1.
