Morning Recap | Four Games

 

Ottawa, ON – It was a wild night across the CCHL as teams battled for playoff seeding in the final night of regular season play. The Brockvile Braves, Cornwall Colts, Rockland Nationals, and Navan Grads picked up wins.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 4 SMITHS FALLS 1

Evan Kula, Fred Allaire, Sam Allison, and Justin McRae had the goals, while Liam Souliere made 19-saves as Brockville finished the regular season 41-16-3-2 and as the #3 seed for the playoffs where they will face the #6 seed Bears beginning Tuesday night in Brockville at 7:30PM.

 

F | CORNWALL 4 HAWKESBURY 3 OT

Philippe Gilmour scored twice, including the OT winner, Nick Abbott, and Tommy Tanner also scored, while Rico Dimatteo made 39-saves as Cornwall finished their season 24-29-7-2, just shy of a playoff spot. The Hawks go into the playoffs as the #5 seed and will take on the #4 Rockland Nationals beginning Sunday at 2:30PM in Rockland.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 NEPEAN 1

Griffin McGregor, William Collins, and Josh Norman found the net, while Cyrus Martin made 28-saves as Rockland finished their season 40-17-3-2 and as the #4 seed going into the playoffs where they will face the #5 seed Hawkesbury Hawks. Game 1 goes Sunday at 2:30PM in Rockland.

 

F | NAVAN 3 PEMBROKE 2

In the biggest game of the Navan Grads season, they came up big. Nick Lachaine and Ryan Wilson scored in the first half of the game, then with the game tied 2-2 and Pembroke needing to win in regulation, the goalie came out for the extra attacker and Navan pounced on their chance as Jackson Arcan scored on the empty net to send the Grads to the playoffs. Alex Wisco made 26-saves in the Grads net who finished as the #8 seed and will face #1 seed Carleton Place in the first round of the playoffs beginning Sunday.
