Morning Recap | Five Games make up Sunday CCHL schedule

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games on the CCHL schedule on Sunday saw the Renfrew Wolves, Cornwall Colts, Navan Grads, Brockville Braves, and Rockland Nationals pick up victories.

 

RENFREW 4 NEPEAN 1

Joey Kennelly, Talon Duff, Tyson Tomasini, and Charlie Johnson tallied goals, while Sebastian Resar made 23-saves as Renfrew improved to 14-5-1-1 on the season. Nepean, who fell to 6-17-1-0, had their lone goal from Zachary Lefebvre, while Nathan Loisel made 39-saves in the losing effort.

 

CORNWALL 4 CARLETON PLACE 3 SO

Kobe Tallman scored in regulation and also netted the shootout winner, John Richer and Brayden Bowen also scored goals, while Dax Easter made 16-saves in a relief appearance as Cornwall improved to 6-15-3-4 on the year. Carleton Place, who saw their record drop to 10-11-1-2, had goals from Isaac Pascoal, who scored twice in his debut game, and Jackson Mowatt, while Brady McEwan made 17-saves in the loss.

 

NAVAN 7 SMITHS FALLS 1

Owen Parsons netted a hat-trick, Ryan Burke, Alexandre Hogue, Danyk Drouin, and Gabriel Crete added singles, while Ben West made 36-saves as Navan improved to 14-8-0-1 on the season. Smiths Falls, who dropped their record on the year to 8-14-1-0, got their lone goal from Will Rivet.

 

BROCKVILLE 5 PEMBROKE 4

Evan Boucher and Ryan Bonfield scored two goals apiece, Reece Glover-Kirby tallied a shorthanded game-winner, while Sami Molu made 29-saves as Brockville improved their record to 16-7-0-2. Pembroke, who fell to 16-6-2-1, had goals from Jack Stockfish (2), Jacob Zwirecki, and Brady Egan, while Reece Proulx made 24-saves on the losing side of things.

 

ROCKLAND 5 HAWKESBURY 3

John Mulvihill scored twice, Justin Dauphinais, Nick White, and Alexandre Frechette also found the back of the net, while Jack McGovern made 22-saves as Rockland improved their season record to 8-14-2-1. Hawkesbury, who dropped to 14-8-1-2, had goals from Tyler Samodral, Jakson Kirk, and Michael Andrews.
