Morning Recap | Five Games make up busy Sunday of CCHL action

 

Ottawa, ON – Five games were played across the CCHL map on Sunday with wins coming from the Kanata Lasers, Rockland Nationals, Carleton Place Canadians, Smiths Falls Bears, and Kemptville 73’s.

 

F | KANATA 4 NEPEAN 1

Luca Nocita (2), Lukash Matthews, and Dylan McMahon all found the back of the net, while Vincent Bujold-Roux made 26-saves as Kanata improved their season record to 21-20-2-5. Nepean saw their record fall to 8-36-1-2.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 NAVAN 2 OT

Joe Jordan and Jack Miles scored in regulation, Jack Sullivan scored the overtime winner, while Cole Hudson made 15-saves as Rockland improved to 32-14-0-2 on the season. Navan, who fell to 20-25-1-0, had goals from Jean-Sylvain Boyer and Alex Robert, while Alex Aslanidis made 25-saves in the loss.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 3 OTTAWA 2

David Gagnon, Brett Thorne, and Caleb Kean tallied goals, while Devon Levi made 20-saves as Carleton Place improved to 39-6-3-2 on the year. Ottawa, who saw their record drop to 24-22-2-0, received goals from Tucker McIntosh and Christophe Cote, while Felix Schnell made 23-saves in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 BROCKVILLE 3 SO

Tate Leeson, Brendan Dempsey, and Bruce Coltart scored in regulation, Cameron McLean scored the shootout winning goal, while Jake Smith made 24-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 22-18-2-2 on the season. Brockville fell to 30-10-3-4, getting goals from Corson Green, Anthony Biniaris, and Simon Kerr, while Simon Harkness made 43-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | PEMBROKE 3 KEMPTVILLE 2

Dennis Golovatchev, Jacob Shankar, and Cameron Hough netted goals, while Reece Proulx made 37-saves as Pembroke improved to 24-21-2-1 on the year. Kemptville, who saw their record fall to 19-23-4-0, had goals from Chase Broda and Madoka Suzuki, while William Anderson made 29-saves in the loss.
