Morning Recap | Five games in busy night of CCHL action

 

Ottawa, ON – A busy Friday night with five games of CCHL action saw the Hawkesbury Hawks, Navan Grads, Kemptville 73’s, Rockland Nationals, and Pembroke Lumber Kings picking up victories. 

 

F | HAWKESBURY 3 BROCKVILLE 0

Luke Grainger, Azzaro Tinling, and Mark Cooper all found the back of the net, while Mathieu Chenier had a 35-save shutout as Hawkesbury improved to 26-16-2-0 on the season. Brockville saw their record fall to 29-9-3-2.

 

F | NAVAN 4 SMITHS FALLS 3 SO

Jean-Sylvain Boyer, Blake Butler, and Devyn Orpana scored in regulation, Orpana would also add the shootout winner, while Alex Aslanidis made 46-saves as Navan improved their season record to 18-25-0-0. Smiths Falls, who fell to 19-18-2-2, had goals from Tate Leeson, Reid Russett, and Bruce Coltart, while Victor Desjardins made 21-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 2 OTTAWA 1

Hunter Brazier and Jared Patterson tallied goals, while William Anderson made 24-saves as Kemptville improved to 19-21-3-0 on the year. Ottawa, who fell to 22-20-2-0, had their lone goal from Ethan Mulhearn, while Bryan Landsberger made 25-saves in the loss.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 CORNWALL 2 SO

Justin Dauphinais and Cole Craft scored in regulation, Cameron Last netted the shootout winner, while Jack McGovern made 22-saves as Rockland improved to 29-13-0-2 on the season. Cornwall, who saw their record fall to 15-28-1-2, had goals from Emerick Nadeau and Matthew Toporowski, while Rico DiMatteo made 44-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 KANATA 3 SO

Sam Allison (2), and Fletcher Anderson scored in regulation, Anderson also scored the shootout winning goal, while Reece Proulx made 35-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to 22-19-2-1. Kanata saw their record fall to 19-19-1-5, receiving goals from Dylan McMahon (2), and Trevor Poeze, while Vincent Bujold-Roux made 32-saves in the loss.
