Morning Recap | Five Games in busy night across the CCHL region

 

OTTAWA, ON – A somewhat busy night across the CCHL saw ten teams in action, with the Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, Kemptville 73’s, Pembroke Lumber Kings, and Ottawa Junior Senators all claiming victories.

 

BROCKVILLE 7 SMITHS FALLS 4

Caleb Kean scored twice in his Braves debut, Evan Boucher, Owen Rainey, Matthew Donovan, Nicholas Dowling, and Kevin Fitzgerald also tallied goals, while Brandon Abbott made 18-saves as Brockville improved to 10-5-0-2 on the year. Smiths Falls, who saw their record drop to 4-13-1-0, received tallies from Ty Campbell (2), Sean James, and Will Rivet, while Victor Desjardins made 33-saves on the losing end of things.

 

HAWKESBURY 4 NAVAN 1

Antoine Dorion’s first career CCHL goal proved to be the winner, Jeremy Tremblay, James Johnston, and Jackson Kirk also scored, while Max Donoso made 28-saves as Hawkesbury improved their record to 12-5-0-0. Navan, who fell to 9-6-0-1, had their lone goal from Danyk Drouin, while Ben West made 26-saves in the losing effort.

 

KEMPTVILLE 5 CARLETON PLACE 3

Devon Savignac, Brendan Lynch, Johnny Howie, Nathan Merrett, and Hunter Brazier found the back of the net, while Connor Blackwood finished with 26-saves as Kemptville improved their season record to 12-5-0-1. Carleton Place, who saw their record drop to 7-9-0-1, had two goals from Jake Code and a single tally from newcomer Liam Goreski, while Joe Chambers made 26-saves in the loss.

 

PEMBROKE 4 ROCKLAND 3

Jesse Kirkby led the way with a hat-trick, Brady Egan also found the back of the net, while Dalton McBride made 23-saves as Pembroke improved to a Robinson Division leading 12-3-1-1. Rockland, who dropped their record to 4-11-1-1, had goals from Joshua Reid, Tucker Shields, and Callum Craft, while Jack McGovern made 30-saves in the losing effort.

 

OTTAWA 3 RENFREW 2

Anthony Provost, Alex Pineau, and Wil Murphy scored goals, while William Desmarais made 35-saves as Ottawa improved to a CCHL best, 14-2-0-1 on the year. Renfrew, who dropped their record to 10-5-0-0, had both goals off the stick of Elvis Slack, while Will Craig made 40-saves on the losing end of things.
