Morning Recap | Five Games close out busy week

 

ROCKLAND, ON – There were five games on tap Sunday, which saw the Rockland Nationals, Brockville Braves, Carleton Place Canadians, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Renfrew Wolves claim victories.

 

ROCKLAND 5 HAWKESBURY 4 OT

Nick White, Manny Cabral, John Mulvihill, and Gabriel Fillion scored in regulation, Justin Dauphinais netted the overtime winner, while Jack McGovern made 21-saves as Rockland improved their season record to 6-13-2-1. Hawkesbury, who fell to 14-6-1-2, had goals from Rylee Hlusiak, Felix Sauve, Jakson Kirk, and Tyler Samodral, while Dimitri Pelekos made 18-saves in the loss.

 

BROCKVILLE 3 KEMPTVILLE 1

Caleb Kean, Owen Belisle, and Ryan Bonfield scored goals, while Sami Molu made 31-saves as Brockville improved to 14-7-0-2 on the season. Kemptville dropped their record to 14-7-2-1, getting their lone goal from Adam Cavallin, while Tyler Laureault finished with 15-saves.

 

CARLETON PLACE 4 NAVAN 3

Kerfalla Toure scored twice, Ethan Woolsey and Christian Berini scored singles, while Joe Chambers made 26-saves as Carleton Place improved to 10-11-0-1 on the year. Navan, who saw their record fall to 13-8-0-1, had goals from Blake Butler, Cayden Faust, and Alexandre Hogue, while Ben West made 32-saves on the losing end of things.

 

OTTAWA 14 NEPEAN 4

Thomas Freel and Mark MacPhee netted hat-tricks, Anthony Provost and Xavier Guillemette each had two goals, Aidan Cooper, Philippe Jacques, Edward Moskowitz, and Massimo Gentile had singles, while Felix Schnell made 11-saves as Ottawa improved to a CCHL-best 18-3-1-1. Nepean, who dropped their record to 6-15-1-0, had two goals from Costa Touliopolous, singles from Jack Hillier and Louis Chabot, while Conor Shibley and Evan Martin shared the loss.

 

RENFREW 3 PEMBROKE 2 OT

Tyson Tomasini and Elvis Slack scored in regulation, Charlie Johnson was the overtime hero, while Will Craig made 21-saves as Renfrew improved to 13-5-1-1 on the season. Pembroke, who fell to 16-4-2-1, had goals from Carter Vollett and Jesse Kirkby, while Reece Proulx made 39-saves in the losing effort.
